A Way Forward: Fueling Jobs and Economic Development in LA and Beyond is the first in a series of policy summits jointly convened by ECE Works! and The UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs.
The summit will feature a conversation between two powerhouse leaders who understand that our economic future depends on our ability to prepare a highly skilled workforce that can meet today’s challenges: The Honorable Cory A. Booker, the dynamic Mayor of Newark who epitomizes 21st Century municipal leadership and innovative problem-solving; and Alfred E. Osborne, Jr., Ph.D. a thought leader in global economics and entrepreneurship and responsible for training the next generation workforce in his capacity as Senior Associate Dean of The UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Moderated by Frank D. Gilliam, Jr., Ph.D., Dean of The UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs, the summit will address the role of education and human capital investments in strengthening the economic vitality of our region and beyond.
